Nordic Noir - Police Procedural
Who knows a serial killer better than the victims?
A helicopter hovers over the wind farm off the Friland Islands in the North Sea. Two men are lowered onto the platform—one alive, the other dead.
Forensic Technician Moa Bakke and her team are called in to recover a body found tied to a wind turbine. Meanwhile, Forensic Technician Fredrik Dal, still recovering from a gunshot wound sustained in the line of duty, seeks refuge on the quiet island. But his peace is short-lived as he’s pulled into the investigation.
What begins with a single body soon spirals into a rash of break-ins and increasingly gruesome murders. As the violence escalates, Moa and Fredrik are forced to question the people around them—and their instincts. In a world where right and wrong blur, where survival means making impossible choices, how far would you go when doing wrong seems like the only way out? And is a serial killer pulling all the strings?
When everything has a price - are you willing to pay?
A boat slows off The Friland Islands in the North Sea. The transponder goes dark as a man drift to sleep in his car on deck. A hand signals the all-clear, and metal meets water. During a routine training dive near the oil platform, divers stumble upon a chilling discovery—a body strapped in a Ferrari at a depth of twenty-five meters.
Forensic Technician Moa Bakke and her team are called to the scene as newly appointed Detective Inspector Fredrik Dal eagerly begins his first day on the job.
A chilling crime wave shakes the once-peaceful North Sea community to its core. As the investigation deepens, friendships fracture, loyalties are tested, and it becomes clear that everything—even life itself—has a price.
Which direction do you turn when haunted by the past?
The bright June night sky on the Friland Islands in the North Sea blazes with fire. On the beach, cameras zoom in on the effigy atop the burning raft. The opening of the summer festival is about to be etched into memory—not with joy, but with horror. The event is being livestreamed as the fire warden signals the start of the fireworks. A scream cuts through the crowd. Someone breaks away, shouting and pointing as the effigy begins to flail its arms - and another scream echoes across the still waters—this time from the effigy on the raft.
Forensic Technician Moa Bakke and Detective Inspector Fredrik Dal are already on the scene—unwitting witnesses to one of the most gruesome crimes the once-peaceful islands have ever seen. In the days that follow, they’ll be forced to question where their loyalties lie while the ghosts of the past refuse to stay buried.
